Successful Boat Trip
The PSAA Junior Members had a great time on the Skerries Bank with Our Joel, managing to catch a large number of fish including Plaice (up to 1lb 7ozs), Bull Huss (up to 5lb) and LSD, they even saw a massive barrel jellyfish too. The Junior members would like to thank everyone who made this boat trip possible as it was a fun learning experience for everyone.

Junior Boat Trip Cancelled for July 2008
The fishing committee had to make a difficult decision to cancel the Junior boat trip which is normally held on the last Sunday of July. The club normally funds this trip of around 330 to encourge juniors to fish, also with only an allocation of 8 places which last year saw three juniors pull out at the last minute does work out to be expensive. Now due to rising fuel costs the boat trip this year would have exceeded 400. Next Year we would have to look at ways to fund the boat trip so if anyone can help in any fund raising actitivies or have any ideas of how to raise money please email the club. If we dont have any help by members in fund raising actitivies then we might have seen the last of the junior boat trips.

Message from the Junior Rep.
Steven Amer (PSAA Junior Rep) is starting to organise the Junior boat trip for July along with Colin Wherlock, we need Juniors to have their say in where to fish for example Wreck, Skerries, Inshore reefs etc. Please email Steve at PSAA with your idea asap because we need to book the boat sometime in March. Your ideas will then be passed on to the fishing committee to decide where to go.
